

Official development assistance for food and agriculture gives priority to the support to the promotion of the private sector, particularly foreign investors. Although its weight is limited when total resources involved are considered, it is, together with the private sector it supports, instrumental in influencing considerably national policies of ‘beneficiary’ countries.
