To make the best use of hungerexplained, you need to know that the menu located at the top right of the page gives access to the different versions of the site:

The drop-down menu under ‘Hunger explained?’ provides access to:

  • Themes which groups articles on around forty specific issues, such as ‘Climate and Food’ or ‘Food Security’.
  • By region/country which groups articles dealing with four regions (Africa, Asia, Europe and Latin America) and two countries (U and France – in French only).
  • Resources where you can find certain feature articles and access groups of articles covering key issues and specific aspects of food: Natural resources, Intergenerational equity, and Causes of hunger.
  • Opinions where you will find all articles published on the site, but written by guest authors or sourced from external sources. The articles are presented in reverse chronological order.
  • Archives where all original articles from hungerexplained are accessible, organised in reverse chronological order.
  • This guide.
  • The author offering a professional biographical note about the creator of the site.
  • About…  which gathers information about the site’s objectives, acknowledgements, as well as site visit statistics.

This structure is not a partition of the set of articles, each of which can be accessed by several paths.

All articles published on hungerexplained cite the sources of information on which they are based and offer additional readings for those who would like to delve deeper into a specific topic.
