Created by the G8 members and emblematic of the collusion between governments and multinationals, the New Alliance seeks to develop chemical agriculture in poor countries, particularly in Africa where, supported by the Gates Foundation through AGRA, it continues to promote well-worn recipes of last century’s Green Revolution.
